Gratis Et Amore Artis represents a relationship between different artists who, starting from a work of art of the past, transform the memory datum into an imaginary corpus, in a «sui generis historicism» (Argan) which distracts from the tension of contrast, comparison and similarity to open a debate on the urge of the present, to the minutiae of doing and acting on (and in) the present of art.

The punctum saliens of the whole visual set up is the revisiting of the figure of Christ (of his Good News) through a visual corpus which, starting from Andy Warhol, inevitably branches off towards three present aesthetical points: Devrim Kadirbeyoglu, Moio & Sivelli, Livia Moura.
A place to think art and aesthetical trends which transform the word and its volatility into visual fabric, Gratis, et amore artis proposes a series of international artists with whom to revisit – from diverse angles and different (really different) latitudes (formal, aesthetical, etc.) – the figure of Christ through the revivalism of a revivalism. In fact, the artists propose an open and uneven analysis of Warhol’s Christ on the basis of Leonardo’s Last Supper.

Starting from Warhol’s 1969 reinterpretation of Leonardo’s Last Supper, the artists involved have rethought the figure of Christ – and of the gospelcorpus in general – through Warhol’s work. Thus, with Warhol’s work used as a vehicle for reflection, the exhibition was used to compare three tasty artistic views which, although reconnecting with the huge Christological body of work, propose contemporary explorations that continuously relate to the places and problems which scutch the lifeworld (Lebenswelt).

Moio & Sivelli – whose aesthetic tenet outlines a dense plethora of references to every-day life and to the biting chapters of irony.
Devrim Kadirbeyoglu, whose work leaves its mark in art with a powerful anthropological, sociological and relational analysis.
Lìvia Moura, whose work becomes both shroud of and visual connection between past and present.
Three breaths which deviate from the simplistic datum and from logic-linear analysis to set up a programme aiming at doing and undoing, with great ease, ambiguity and obscurantism.
Gracefully skipping the chasm of history – and deviating from the tout court main road of historicism – Devrim Kadirbeyoglu, Moio & Sivelli, and Lìvia Moura produce a series of pseudo-revivals which bombard the territories of old, in order to hold the past in the iron grip of an impellent (and urgent) pulsating present.

La Corporazione delle Arti e delle Tecnologie ed il Comune di Oliveto Citra, con la collaborazione del BBC – Credito Cooperativo di AQUARA e MioMagazine, presentano la mostra Elastica – Territori del contemporaneo.
Formata da una schiera di artisti della regione Campania – Francesco Acone, Antonio Cervasio, Pierpaolo Costabile, Alfonso Elia, Imma Fasano, Cristina Fiorenza, Caterina Gallo, Pasquale Napolitano, Rovì – la mostra si presenta come una mappa etica ed estetica che si estende negli ambienti del Castello Guerritore secondo un viaggio precostruito teso a proporre il concetto di mobilità e flessibilità come fondamento creativo e come legge di natura.
«Pensatori liberali tout court e deus ex machina senza controlli o regole, gli artisti rappresentano il risveglio alla realtà facendo pervenire, di volta in volta, strategie comunicative sane ed efficaci per pensare e presentare un progetto ideale per il futuro delle moderne società.
Lungo questo asse riflessivo i prodotti degli otto artisti presenti in mostra rappresentano «l’humus ideale per avviare un discorso teso a riqualificare l’antico attraverso procedimenti estetici attuali.
Con Elastica, da spazio d'importanza transterritoriale, il Castello Guerritore di Oliveto Citra, fulcro della Città situato sulla importante arteria fluviale, si pone come un macrototem artistico attorno al quale approfondire tematiche legate all’arte e al territorio, ai flussi di persone e all’attraversamento che da fisico si fa metaforico».
